End of Life

Pet Photography

For the Moments That Matter Most

As time slows, the little things begin to mean everything:

  • How they look up at you expectantly while you make a cup of coffee in the morning.

  • The gentle sigh as they rest beside you on the couch while you read a book.

  • Their soft fur between your fingers that brings you comfort on the hardest days.

These are more than habits. They’re the rhythm of a life lived together.

End-of-life sessions are about honoring that special bond, not with goodbye, but with grace. Remembrance. Celebration.

When your pet is nearing the end of their journey, you want a way to hold on.

Because this kind of love deserves to be remembered not just in your heart or through your phone, but in something you can see every day beyond their last.

What to Expect During Your End of Life Photo Session

This is a delicate time in any pet parent’s life. These sessions are designed to be peaceful, patient, and completely guided by your dog’s comfort level.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Flexible Scheduling: End of Life sessions are scheduled outside our normal booking calendar and can even be done on weekends. Sometimes, even same day appointments can be arranged.

  • A Calm, Gentle Approach: We move at your pet’s pace, honoring what they need and keeping them extra comfortable.

  • Emotional Support: In my almost 10 years of working in veterinary medicine, I’ve supported hundreds of families as they walk this path. I’ve also been right where you are, and know the rollercoaster of emotions you’re going through every day.

  • Image Delivery Flexibility: We all move through loss in our own way. Whether you wish to see your images right away or prefer to wait, I’ll honor your pace. I’m here when you need me.

“We decided to get photos taken of our dog after he was diagnosed with cancer and in his last month.

We ended up getting the photos back shortly after he passed and it was so comforting to receive them while grieving.

Our pup had a great time at the session and it went super smoothly. I will cherish these amazing photos for the rest of my life.”

- Bernie’s mom, Anna

We understand not all end of life sessions are senior pets

Not all goodbyes are to pets who’ve lived a long, happy life.

We’ve worked with pets facing a terminal diagnosis at all ages (including puppies) as well as pets facing behavioral euthanasia.

This is a safe, judgement free space. Our job is to support you while you go through one of the hardest moments in your life, no matter the road that led you here.

The Art You Didn’t Know You Needed

We don’t just specialize in creating a stress-free, comfortable session for your dog. Your time with us leads to creating timeless artwork that fills your heart and home with the same love you have for your dog.

These special moments and memories aren’t meant to live on your phone, but rather to be enjoyed and honoured daily. Your dog deserves a special place in your home, forever.

“Marie was amazing through the whole process. She did an amazing job in making us feel comfortable and heard on what we wanted for the photos and helping us understand the process. I would recommend to anyone looking for a pet photographer that listens and understands. The results are beyond words.

- Raven’s mom, Carly

While the focus of the session will be on the star of the show, we can absolutely include photos with other pets and the family together.

And a little secret, they don’t all have to sit together at the same time. 😉

  • Absolutely! We encourage pet parents to be fully involved in their portrait experience including getting in front of the camera.

After all, we have 1000’s of photos of our pets on our phone (most of them while they’re adorably sleeping and not moving) but how many quality images do you have of YOU with your pets?

For couples, I’d also be happy to grab some photos of just the two of you, too!

  • While we don’t normally offer in-home sessions, we understand that traveling at this time could be difficult or stressful. We can arrange for in home/backyard sessions to keep them most comfortable. However, these sessions do tend to result in a smaller variety of images.

  • Absolutely! All love is love, the only requirement is that you also have a love for your furry friends.

We also support Resilient Hearts Animal Sanctuary, a 501©3 rescue based in Seattle that is an LGBTQ led organization with a focus on being accessible and inclusive.

  • How much you spend on your portraits will depend on how many favorites you have and at what scale you would like them printed.
